It has the most systematic, valuable and abundant materials of the early Paleolithic period all over the world. From 1921 to 1927, archeologists found three fossil hominid teeth around the cave of Peking Man. In 1929, they also found a fossil crania of Peking Man as well as manufacturing tools and relics for firing. Hence, it became the world-shaking discovery at that time.

In 1930, archeologists also discovered the cultural relics and fossils of Upper Cave Man at Peking Man Site who lived there 20,000 years ago.
